CIATA was spun out of the Dahlem Center for Machine Learning and Robotics at Freie Universität Berlin in 2024. The founders have spent years working together on innovative AI research projects - from inventing new methods to deploying them across computer vision, NLP, and robotics.

Our experts have raised more than EUR 3 million in funding, published 60+ peer-reviewed papers, and supervised over 150 theses throughout dozens of different projects. That same experience now powers CIATA engagements, where we design production-grade ML systems, write robust software, and transform research breakthroughs into actual business value for our customers.
